We as human beings, we belong to a community much larger than what we morally defined: the community of life, which includes all living beings, all creatures, even the entire biosphere and future generations.

The pillars that support the Charter are the following four principles, which implicitly contain all the contents of the document:

6. Prevent harm as the best method of environmental protection.
7. Adopt patterns of production, consumption and reproduction that safeguard Earth's regenerative capacities, human rights and welfare of the community.

10. Ensure that economic activities and institutions at all levels promote human development in an equitable and sustainable.

C. A NEW BEGINNING
The history of humanity obliges us to seek a new beginning, which requires a change within, the heart and mind, a renewed sense of global interdependence and universal responsibility. Cultural diversity is a precious heritage to be protected at all levels. We ensure that our era is remembered for the awakening of a new reverence for life, for her tenacity in achieving sustainability for a renewed commitment to the struggle for justice and peace and joy for the celebration of life.
